Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology recently participated in the East Africa Higher Education Centers of Excellence (ACEII) Technical and Advisory meeting held between 12th -14th November,2018 in Kigali, Rwanda.

The objective of the meeting was to brainstorm on common challenges faced by the ACEs to improve the quality of their programs. The primary focus was on challenges faced in meeting international standards and receiving recognition as well as operating within a University and establishing conducive relations with University leadership for successful delivery of programs. This meeting also created an avenue for sharing knowledge on innovations introduced by the ACEs to address some of these common challenges faced by the centers.

Among those who attended the meeting was the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Agong’, the Center’s Director, Dr. Darius Andika, Principal Investigator, Prof. Monica Ayieko and the Project Manager Mr. Dickson Owuor.
