The University Library participated in the 2017 Library of the year Awards (Maktaba Awards) and emerged position three (3 )out of the twenty (20) Public and Private Universities that participated in the Public and Private Universities’ categories.

The University Library participated in the 2017 Library of the year Awards (Maktaba Awards) and emerged position three (3 )out of the twenty (20) Public and Private Universities that participated in the Public and Private Universities’ categories.

JaramogiOgingaOdinga University of Science and Technology Library was awarded with the following;

.  A trophy

.  A cash prize of kshs. 25,000 (60% in the form of books and 40% in form of a cheque)

.  200 books of choice from Book Aid International;

.  One (1) Longman Grammar of Spoken and Written English;

.  One (1) History of the World in Maps: The Rise and Fall of Empires, Countries and Cities;

.  A certificate of Excellence

.  A certificate of participation.

The event was an annual one sponsored by the The Kenya Library Association, The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation, Goethe Institut, Worldreader, Ministry of Sports, Culture and The Arts, Book Aid International, Radio Africa Group and eKitabu.
