JOOUST SHINES AT THE 2017 NATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVALS

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology students’ choir has recorded an excellent performance in the just ended Kenya National Music Festival held at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology from 10th -20th July 2017 in Kakamega County.

The University choir beat other universities in three classes; Solo set poem, class 1015M, special set piece ladies 670A, and class 627, set piece men winning trophies for the same. The choir also attained position 2 in class 601, set piece ladies unaccompanied, and position 3 in classes 693 zilizopendwa, 613 own composition (men) and 626 set piece ladies accompanied, for which they were awarded merit certificates.

With the support of their trainers, Dr. Zablon Maua Muga and Mrs. Mildred Mundhe, the choir did well in all the 14 items entered for the national competition as they maintained their performance in top five in all the classes.
