The School of Agricultural and Food Sciences of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in collaboration with BFH Business School of Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland have partnered to encourage and motivate young people to generate innovative business models which can evolve into actual enterprises. 

The collaboration culminated into a workshop that focused on; generation of business ideas, verifying ideas with important stakeholders, developing business model interactively and presenting the business model to potential investors.

The workshop was held from the 9th- 14th July 2017 involved 20 students drawn from different Schools at the University including 10 participants from Ukwala and Usigu Sub Counties who are alumni of the Kenya Organization of Teach a Child Africa (TaC). It was facilitated jointly by JOOUST and Swiss academic staff. 

The approach was presented as an opportunity for the facilities to acquire new skills and learn from each other.
