Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in collaboration with Arizona State University, Engineers without borders Chapter partnered to construct a hydraulic laboratory. The laboratory will be used for training, research and outreach.

The laboratory consists of a piping system for demonstrating head losses through different pipes and fittings, open channel flume for hydraulic jump and flow over weir demonstrations and a flume table for constructing and testing different flow principles.

The laboratory has already been tested and was commissioned by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Agong’ on 5th August 2016 ready for use by Universities and Colleges within the region.
