Prof Benard Muok is a professor of Climate Change, Natural Resource Management and Renewable
Energy. He is currently the Director, Centre for Research, Innovation and Partnerships at Jaramogi
Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology. He is a holder of post-doctoral in Climate
Change and Renewable Energy, a PhD in Tropical Agriculture (Domestication of Indigenous Fruit
Trees for Climate Change Adaptation in Africa), Master’s degree in Forestry, Bachelor of Science
(Forestry) and International Diploma in Biodiversity Conservation with over 20 years’ technical
experience and in-depth knowledge of Programme Development and Project Management; Natural
Resource Management; Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation; Blue and Green Economy,
Public Policy; Energy Access; Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Audit and; Low
Carbon Development Technologies. Prof Muok has consulted widely for national and regional
governments, non-governmental organizations and private entities. He has published widely in peerreviewed
